At present, we are facing a major change unseen in a century. In the past 500 years, China's comprehensive national strength and GDP have led the world for 370 years, and the alternation of power between China and the United States is bound to happen. The outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war inevitably caused everyone to think about the "Thucydides Trap". Looking back at the past 500 years of world history, there have been 16 cases in which a great power has risen to replace another dominant power. Among them, 12 cases were decided by war, and only 4 were spared. These 4 cases are because both the challenger and the challenged made huge and painful adjustments in actions and attitudes.

China advocates the establishment of a "new type of major-country relationship", and is completely on the right side of history in breaking away from the so-called "laws of history" and avoiding and breaking the "Thucydides trap". We are not living in a peaceful age, just in a peaceful country.

The sudden outbreak of the new crown pneumonia has disrupted the order of life, cut off working hours, and hit consumer confidence. It tests resilience, strength and reserves at all levels of society. Although the epidemic is still severe, it is fortunate that we live in a modern society with relatively developed medical care and technology. We firmly believe that this epidemic will be brought to an end, all it takes is time.

The History of Epidemic Diseases in China, edited and published by the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, records that in the more than 2,000 years since the Western Han Dynasty, there have been 321 plague epidemics in China. Although, every epidemic made the society at that time tremble. However, each time, the spread of the epidemic was effectively controlled within a limited area and time.

There has never been a tragedy in the history of China, such as the Spanish flu, the Black Death in Europe, and the global plague. A single plague killed tens of millions of people. We are fortunate to have the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people who are united as one, and the traditional Chinese medicine that has been accumulated for thousands of years. In this way, they fought against the plague time and time again, and saved the nation from danger countless times. It can be said that Chinese history is also a history of war "epidemic". It is the plagues that drive the progress of China's epidemic prevention and social civilization development.

Whether it is the Central Economic Work Conference or the National People's Congress and the National People's Congress held recently, policies are being released to promote economic development, create a relaxed business environment, support the real economy, and reduce taxes and fees. The "one-size-fits-all" measures such as power outages, real estate thunderstorms, and anti-monopoly measures launched in early 2021 have not appeared this year.
