How to DIY Cardboard Lantern Method Illustration

How to make a lantern: 

Step 1: Find a piece of cardboard. 

Step 2: Cut out 12 trapezoids of the same size. Used to make lanterns. 

Step 3: Make 2 hexagons for the base and top of the lantern. This hexagon is more complicated to make. 

Let’s explain it in small steps: 1. First, draw a straight line on the cardboard, and determine a center point on the straight line. 2. Find the points of 60 degrees and 120 degrees with a protractor. 3. Connect the lines, the prototype of the hexagon comes out. 4. Take the short side size of the trapezoid made in the first step as the side length of the hexagon, and make 12 trapezoids and 2 hexagons. 

Step 4: Hollow out the above 12 trapezoids and 2 hexagons.Note that one of the hexagons is used as a base, leaving room for candles. 

Step 5: Paste the cellophane on the hollowed out part of the lantern body. - I didn't find the cellophane, this step is lazy. 

Step 6: Put the long sides of each two trapezoids facing each other and glue them together. 

Step 7: Glue the short side of the trapezoid to the side of the hexagon (the one used as the base of the lantern)
