Architect and interior designer a recently completed ego, a bar and restaurant located on the coast of karamata, Greece. The bar and restaurant are designed based on beach aesthetics, with natural materials such as reed screens displayed inside.

Reeds native to the land of Messinia are used in a variety of ways, including wooden framed screens integrated into the entire interior, thereby reducing the impact on the environment.

Reeds are also used to make woven baskets and spread in the open air.

Lighting is another design element made from reeds that complements the screens and baskets and adds to the overall ambience of the restaurant design.

Besides reed, other materials include rough plaster, industrial floors made of visible concrete, wooden structures and ceramic screen walls.

The only material used for the waterfront is wood, in order to make the construction fully reversible and friendly to the natural environment.
