Ukraine approves technical regulations on environmental protection design requirements for directional lights, LED lights and related equipment

On March 27, 2019, the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 264, which approved the technical regulations for the environmental protection design requirements of directional lights, LED lights and related equipment.
The formulation of the technical regulations refers to the environmental protection design requirements of European Union Regulation (EC) No 1194/2012 on directional lamps, light-emitting diode (LED) lamps and related equipment.
Covers the following devices (including as part of other products):
★ Directional Radiation Lamp
★ LED light
★ Equipment designed for installation of power supplies and lamps, including lamp ballasts, controls and lamps (excluding fluorescent lamps and high-intensity discharge lamps and their ballasts)
The technical regulation grants a transition period of 3 years for products to comply with the specified eco-design and information requirements.
