Catch fish restaurant, chandelier in the city of Kiev, Ukraine
The newly opened fish restaurant CATCH is located in the center of Kiev, 12 Vladimirskaya Street. LeFamiglia is the owner of the restaurant and they serve their customers food that is appreciated by true gourmets. Here customers can find the largest variety of fish and seafood in the Ukrainian capital, 150 kinds of champagne and more than 200 kinds of white wines. In fact the name of the restaurant determines the direction it serves seafood. The project's design firm, YoDezeen, wanted to create an elegant restaurant and decided to use a modern European-style interior. The designers completed the renovation in just four months. "The first impression here is shocking, it has many unnecessary decorations, several high differential layers, and divides the space into many blocks in terms of height and other internal characteristics," said the designers.

First, the designers made the space as empty as possible to fill the interior with light and air. The old windows were replaced with thinner materials, the inner balconies were completely removed, and the ladders were relocated to create a vertical axis of space. The restaurant is roughly divided into two parts: the lobby on the first floor and the banquet hall on the second floor. The designers divided the space on the first floor into two areas: a bar with a communal table and a main dining area with a three-meter seafood display case, wine rack and refrigerator.

Thanks to the abundance of chandeliers, mirrors and smooth surfaces, the hall space is filled with light and reflections. During the day, CATCH is more of a business meeting service, as the atmosphere here is stylish, but at the same time comfortable and relaxed. At night, due to the different lighting, the restaurant becomes a very romantic place. There are many rough surfaces in the dining room - intricate brickwork, metal parts, concrete columns. Because this is a pure fish restaurant, many decoration details are directly related to the theme. Large three-tier fish tank racks, open windows in the kitchen allow guests to watch the process of cooking seasonal seafood, and monochrome tiles like seawater behind the bar all reflect the marine theme.

"CATCH" is one of the few restaurants in Kiev where customers can share a meal at a large table. Communal tables are a trend in European gastronomic life and a place of local pride. Made of oak, the table is slightly taller than normal and has a gorgeous chandelier made of 450 glass spheres. The restaurant's ballroom feels like home—a black ceiling with fringe moldings, a chandelier, black and blue leather furniture and a graphite mirror, and some metal-framed paintings. In short, the designers managed to create a calm and pleasant elegant atmosphere in this restaurant.
