The General Supervision Office of the Guangdong Provincial Health and Health Commission notified the school health supervision and monitoring in 2021 and the provincial primary and secondary classroom lighting renovation and testing related work. Comrade Qiu Kenan, the second-level inspector of the department, made arrangements for the next step in the lighting renovation of primary and secondary school classrooms in the province.

The meeting requested that all localities should strengthen organizational leadership, consolidate work responsibilities, clarify goals and tasks, and cooperate closely. It is necessary to take classroom lighting compliance as the focus of prevention and control of myopia, advance it in an orderly manner as planned, further enhance target awareness and task awareness, and ensure 100% compliance by the end of next year.

The meeting emphasized that all localities should arrange the investment reasonably, actively coordinate the financial department to arrange the investment in the renovation, and include the relevant funds for the renovation of classroom lighting in the school's annual budget. The provincial subsidy funds of the provincial public funds for urban and rural compulsory education and the special funds for the high-quality development of basic education issued by the Guangdong Provincial Finance can be used for classroom lighting and visual environment renovation in primary and secondary schools. It is necessary to innovate the methods and methods of funding investment, actively strive for social forces to participate in the renovation of school classroom lighting, and jointly promote the completion of the renovation task.

The meeting pointed out that the state has strict task requirements for the renovation of school classroom lighting, and all levels should steadily advance according to the work plan and time node. The lighting compliance work should be included in the assessment scope, and supervision and inspection should be strengthened. The Guangdong Provincial Department of Education will join the Provincial Department of Finance and the Health and Health Commission to hold a promotion meeting every six months to comment on the progress of the work and to criticize the units that are making slow progress. At the same time, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education will incorporate the implementation of classroom lighting compliance into one of the key contents of education supervision, and implement supervision and evaluation.
