Start in 2024! Knock out linear fluorescent lights!
Recently, according to foreign media reports, California passed the AB-2208 bill, which will phase out compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and linear fluorescent lamps (LFLs) starting in 2024.

The bill states that on or after January 1, 2024, screw base or bayonet base compact fluorescent lamps will not be offered or sold as new manufactured products for final sale; on or after January 1, 2025, Pin base CFLs,
LFLs, or final sale as new manufactured products will not be offered.
The following lamps are not subject to the Act:
1. Lamps for image capture and projection
2. Lamps with a higher proportion of UV light emission
3. Lamps for medical or veterinary diagnosis or treatment, or lamps for medical devices
4. Lamps for the manufacture or quality control of pharmaceutical products
5. Lamps for spectroscopy and optical applications
According to foreign media observations, more and more countries around the world have begun to pay attention to LED lighting technology and eliminate the use of mercury-containing fluorescent lamps. In December, the European Union announced that it would ban the sale of virtually all mercury-containing fluorescent lamps by September 2023. In addition, as of March this year, a total of 137 local governments have voted through the Minamata Convention on Mercury to phase out compact fluorescent lamps by 2025.
