Zhang Junjie, a lighting engineer from Henan at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics: Embrace the dark night for brilliant colors
The opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics once again amazed the world. Behind this beautiful and profound opening ceremony, lighting is an important "helper". In the lighting programming team of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, there is a lighting engineer Zhang Junjie from Henan.
Beat the rhythm of the music into the heart with light
"I received news before I came to the Winter Olympics. The lighting effect should be based on highlighting the content of the program, so as to make the audience feel at the scene." At the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, Zhang Junjie, a young man from Zhumadian City, Henan Province Together with their team, they are responsible for the programming of the overall lighting effects based on the lighting of the thermal performance.
Zhang Junjie said that director Zhang Yimou brought the square dance culture to the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. During the warm-up time of more than 30 minutes, he played dozens of well-known square dance songs in China. Use different programming techniques to make the same light show different effects.”

"We set the speed of the light to be exactly the same as the rhythm of the song, so that everyone can feel that this rhythm can penetrate your heart very comfortably, so that people's hearing and vision can be integrated." Zhang Junjie said, in addition to " In addition to "card point", the color of the lights was repeatedly considered according to the content of the song, and finally expressed in the language of lights. "Many live audiences followed the live actors and 'hi' in the auditorium!"
The night of the "Bird's Nest" belongs to us
In fact, in order to present this kind of lighting effect that fascinates the audience, Zhang Junjie and other lighting engineers in the team entered the National Stadium - "Bird's Nest" at the end of September last year.
"Our working state is to rest during the day and work at night, because the 'Bird's Nest' is not a closed stadium, so we can't see the lighting effects during the day, and there is no way to work." Zhang Junjie said: "You can understand this, the 'Bird's Nest' The night belongs to us!"

I come to the "Bird's Nest" every afternoon, check the equipment first, and test the lamps in advance. After dark, the rehearsal will be carried out according to the schedule of the director team. "After the rehearsal, it is usually after 12 o'clock. We will make modifications and adjustments according to the rehearsal situation until dawn."
As time goes by, the weather in Beijing is also getting colder. "The weather at night was particularly cold, and in the end the machine couldn't take it anymore. Later, we built a shed to keep out the cold in our work area in the bird's nest." Zhang Junjie said that during that time, the music was basically changed every day, and the lights were changed every day. The teachers repeatedly adjusted the lighting according to the feedback from the director team. "From November until before the performance, we finally 'grinded' the lighting effect bit by bit."
The heavy responsibility has been shaking before the opening of the shoulder
On February 4, the 24th Winter Olympics opened in Beijing's Bird's Nest.

Before the opening, Zhang Junjie was very nervous. "I even kept shaking, because we were using the time code for the warm-up lights, and the time code was broadcast from my hand, so if the time code was not on the card, the program might be wrong, so warm There may be major problems within half an hour of the show." Zhang Junjie said that he would test the timecode a minute or two before the opening to make sure there was no problem. "I know there will be no problems, and certainly not problems. Although rehearsal I played a lot of times and I was 100% sure, but I was still very nervous at the beginning."
It wasn't until the director shouted that there was no problem with the time code, and Zhang Junjie's hanging heart could be regarded as letting go. "After the hot show is over, even if it is completely solid, because the subsequent shows are all manually controlled lighting effects, the manual is actually the most secure."
A wonderful experience in life
For the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, what Zhang Junjie felt most deeply was the total of 4,000 to 5,000 lights in the gymnasium, all of which were self-developed domestic brand lamps, which made him feel a strong sense of pride.

This special lighting programming experience also gave the young man from Henan a strong self-confidence. "As a native of Henan, I feel very happy and proud to be able to participate in such a major worldwide event as the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. I am grateful to my hometown and everyone for their support. Zhang Junjie said: "This is a good learning opportunity for me. It is a wonderful experience in my life to work with the best team in China and even the world."
Zhang Junjie also revealed that the lighting effects of the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics and the opening and closing ceremonies of the future Paralympic Games are also programmed by their team, "We are preparing very hard, and we will definitely give you a satisfactory answer sheet. !"
